Some of our course offerings are free, others have a fee set by the course designer. These will be noted plainly in the course description.
Free Courses
Free courses come in several varieties, but they are 100% free. Note that free courses generally have a lower level of instructor involvement.
Fee Courses
Some of our courses have a tuition fee to take the course. Course designers set the fee based on how much time it took to design the course and how much time they expect to spend administering the course. Please note that our instructors give up many hours of their time to design courses and many more hours administering them, so it is not greed motivating them to do this - they could probably make more money working at a fast food restaurant.
Registration
All courses have a mandatory registration requirement for full participation. Registration is free, but it provides us with control over problem users (abusive, spammers, etc...). Registration will give you access to the main course area as well as any free courses that are available. Fee courses require a password the first time you enter. Registrations expire after one year of activity (one year from the last time you logged in). To maintain your registration, just log in periodically.
Guest Status
Some of the free courses allow you to audit them as a guest. Guest status is read only and to fully participate you will need to register. Guests are not allowed to post any messages or ask questions so it is worth your two minutes to register. This is a security measure to improve your experience by preventing abusive posts, spam posts, etc...
